Jeremy Cordeaux – Commercial Radio Hall of Fame inductee and Walkley award winning Journalist
Jeremy Cordeaux is a Walkley award winning journalist and a three time gold winner of “Best Talk Show Host in the World” at the New York Festival Radio Awards. Also knighted by the Order of St. John for services to the community and recognised in the Order of Australia Awards with an AM, he has a life time of experience in broadcasting and journalism.
He’s worked for News Limited, Network Ten, Seven Network, Channel Nine, and the ABC.
Tired of ‘smelling the roses’ Jeremy came out of retirement in 2013 hosting his own TV show, The Court of Public Opinion on Channel 44. Currently back on the airwaves, he joined the team permanently at FIVEaa after filling in over the 2013 Christmas period.
FIVEaa program director Dave Shearer says “Jeremy did a fantastic job filling in for Leon over the summer period, and showcased that he’s committed to the people of Adelaide and making the state a better place. He’s an award winning journalist and talk back host, so having him as a part of our on air line up is a great opportunity for FIVEaa.”
During his summer stint at FIVEaa, Cordeaux also led campaigns committed to making Adelaide a better place, personally offering $10,00 to catch the people behind the deaths of miniature show horses on SA’s Fleurieu Peninsula.
He’s the only person in Australia to have worked his way from office boy at radio station 2GB in Sydney, to owner and Managing Director of three of the most successful radio stations in Australia – 5AD, 5DN and 5SE.
Jeremy has been deeply involved with charity for most of his professional life. He’s the founding Chairman of the Variety Club of South Australia, on Smith Family board, Red Cross, SA Great, and patron of Motor Neurone Disease Association.He’s a life member of the Royal Institute of Deaf and Blind Children and a life member of The Order of Australia Association.
