Sebastian Galipo established Galipo Food Company in 1983, he stored products in chest freezers in his home garage and would deliver products using a one tonne truck with a large esky. After deliveries were finished, Sebastian would change into his ‘sales rep clothes’ and canvas for new business ventures.

In 2001, Galipo Food Company moved for the fifth time due to ongoing growth and shifted to their current premises in Dry Creek. Galipo Food Company has become a one stop shop for the foodservice industry with other 6,500 products and 44 trucks supplying South Australia.

Galipo Food Company is a South Australian Family Owned Business employing 140 staff, 24 current staff members have been with the company for over 10 years, with 4 staff members over 25 years. The company culture is about caring for customers, suppliers and staff proving various staff privileges such as food hampers, staff lunches and fuel vouchers.

Galipo Foods has been voted the Number One Foodservice Distributor in Australia by FSAA (Foodservice Suppliers Association of Australia) for the third time in four years.
