51 – Attracting more good things into your life

BY STAN KONTOS

We all want to have more good things happen in our lives so I thought this month I would share how we can be an integral part of this. I have discovered (unfortunately the hard way, many decades ago) that when I harboured on negativity, I would attract lots of problems and issues. It wasn’t until I read many books on personal and spiritual development, that I began to realise that there is a life law that “we attract what we think about most of the time”. I found that when I began to put a more concerted effort into thinking positively most of the time, I would begin to attract more good things in my life. WOW I thought – is it really possible that I could create my own “heaven on earth” experience? Well, it was close. Whilst there are still problems and issues at times in my life, the frequency is now much less and the recovery from those negative events is much quicker since I have been focussing more and more on the positive in the situation or the positive outcome I desire from the situation.

I read an incredible wisdom once that said along the lines, to focus your mind on “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about these things”. That is quite an incredible level to attain to when you think about it, however what actually happens when you “tap into” this level of thinking, is you begin to notice more of what you just thought about (which was good) and you begin to attract and claim more of what is positive and constructive in your life.

You see, there are always good things happening around us and in our lives – we just need to notice them. The RAS (Reticular Activating System) of our mind needs to be switched on by us focussing ourselves on what is good. What we focus on we see. And what we see we begin to attract more of. And when we see the positive we attract, we begin to strengthen this way of thinking. Then it becomes a habit because we know what the benefits are so we create new patterns in our brain. This is the essence of “neuroplasticity”. We all have this capability to create a better world for ourselves and for others in our environment.

I have the privilege of coaching and mentoring a number of clients privately and one of the key outcomes of each coaching and mentoring session is to help them change the way they look at things. I know that if they change the way they look at things, for example, their work, their business, their partner, their finances, their life, then the things that they look at will begin to change. And they will attract better things in life. If you want to know more about our coaching and mentoring program, click here to visit our website.

Here’s an exercise worth doing. For the next 30 days, do an exercise I get my coaching and mentoring clients to do called “The 30 Day Mental Fast”, click here to download the form. Be extra careful everyday to keep all negative thoughts out of your consciousness. It will initially be quite difficult however after about 7-10 days you will notice it will get easier and you will notice yourself thinking and feeling differently. You will begin taking your thoughts to the next level. If for any reason, you indulge in negativity (that is you catch yourself spending unnecessarily long time on a negative thought, such as longer than 2 minutes) then you start the 30 day mental fast again from the beginning! Check the exercise out and email me if you have any queries.

Guest Post – 10 Tools to Attract Better Results in Your Life

50 – Focus mixed together with gratitude makes for a powerful combination

BY STAN KONTOS

I am sure we are all well aware of the power of focus in helping us maximise the incredible power of our mind and in turn achieving our inspired goals in life. I am sure we have all heard of the power of gratitude in helping us energetically to attract people, situations and events that assist us with achieving our goals. One of the most powerful combinations in helping us design a better life for ourselves and the people around us is mixing the two together – “focus with gratitude”. The key of course, is the focus has to be a good thing (something that is good for you, good for the other person, and good for the greater good) and the gratitude has to be “heart felt and genuine gratitude”.

So, let’s choose something generic in life and see how we could apply it. Suppose we want to increase our income through a wealth creation vehicle such as, real estate. Then our mindset to help us achieve the goal, could be constructed as follows “Thank you, for I am so happy and grateful now that I have secured a residential real estate property investment that I can add value to and create $150,000 within 2 years allowing me to give to my family a better lifestyle including an amazing holiday”.

The key is to construct a thought as if it has already occurred, to mix it with favourable emotions (gratitude in this case), and to link it to a benefit to others (a holiday for the family) as well as a higher purpose (seeing the building of a happy family in terms of a lifestyle achievement).

Think about your inspiring goals today and begin to construct a focus, as well mixing this focus with an inspiring emotion (gratitude in this case) and watch how you will more succinctly move toward your goal and watch how you will attract the right people and circumstances to help you along the journey. Ensure the goal is good not just for you, but for someone else as well as a greater good for all.

I wish you to learn and apply the tools to create a more abundant life for yourself, your family and your community.

Live with passion, always stay on your life purpose, and stay at peace.

49 – What you focus on you create

BY STAN KONTOS

As we review the first quarter of 2019, it is easy to get caught up in the day to day urgencies of our lives. How many of us are actually reviewing our key goals each and every day to see what progress we are making and what we need to do to get to our goals into fruition? Yes, I too catch myself not reviewing my goals everyday! It is so important if we want to make this year the best year yet, that we have a system to remind ourselves to review our goals.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

  1. Set up a reminder on your phone
  2. Write them down and stick them on something you look at every day (for example, your laptop or your desk)
  3. Write them on a card and place them in your wallet so that every time you get your credit card or cash out, you see them

You see, what we focus on, on a consistent basis, we bring closer and closer into our reality. The difference between the “haves” and the “have not’s” is what I call the 1 percenters. They are the little things that create big results over time. Your daily habits determine your destiny. But can it really be that simple? Yes it is simple, however, I agree it is not easy. The most difficult thing for people to do is create new empowering and productive habits. Most people resist change and unconsciously want to stay within their comfort zones. However, if you do the same thing this year as last year, you will not grow your results over last year. And I want to encourage you to make this year, a more growthful one… make this year your best year yet.

Beginning a new habit, for example, reviewing your key goals on a daily basis will not cost you any money… all it is, is a small investment of time: 2-3 minutes per day at best. When extrapolated over the year, the return on this investment of time is incredible. Give it a go this year and you will see how this gift of life works. You too will become one of the “haves” and everyone will ask you in wonder, “Wow, how did you do that? What made you think of that? That’s amazing”.

If you need a helping hand from us at SOL Results, consider getting yourself a Personal Coach to help you magnify your results. 48 – Get Inspired!

BY STAN KONTOS

Have you ever sat down and documented exactly what inspires you? Many years ago I began documenting what it is that makes me feel inspired. I define feeling inspired as being ‘in spirit’, that joyful inner feeling that we all get, some people call it ‘being in my element’ or ‘being in the flow’.

Many activities that bring on this amazing feeling are the same for all of us, for example, being in love or being grateful and there are many activities and thought processes that are unique to each one of us.

Some activities that inspire me include:

  • Being at the beach, I love hearing the crashing of the waves
  • Driving through the hills in my sports car
  • Reading a good biography
  • Listening to certain music
  • Listening and meditating to a particular pastor’s sermon
  • Spending time with particular people who I seem to resonate with

It is important to know the things that inspire you, once you know them you can then make time to bring them into your life purposefully. The ultimate goal is to aim to be 80 per cent inspired, or more, of course! Too many of us get caught up working for a living instead of designing a life. The life of design should include as many inspirational activities as is possible that you can bring into each day.

When you are inspired you will:

  • Handle issues (challenges) more effectively
  • Be happier (others will notice the glow coming out of your eyes)
  • Create greater opportunities in your business/career, life and in the lives of others

We all set so many goals each year – to make more money, to advance our career, to lose weight, to improve our relationships, to holiday, etc. However, did you know that the one key goal to achieve a high level of inspiration will itself help you bring into fruition every one of your goals and dreams?

Many people comment that they have attended the Breakfast at the Next Level because it re-ignites their inspiration and that is one of the breakfast event’s purposes.

So I ask you, what are you doing today to get yourself inspired and fired up to really enjoy the gift of life that you have been given? Perhaps begin today and notice every time you feel an amazing sense of joy inside, document it and before long you will know 10+ activities that inspire you. Then begin bringing as many of these activities into your life daily. You will notice a new level of youthfulness and energy that will come over you. You will have fewer issues. You will attract greater opportunities in every area of your life.

Come along to the next Breakfast at the Next Level on the 6th of March 2019 to re-ignite your inspiration and get inspired!

Live with passion, always stay on your life purpose, and stay at peace.

47 – Stay grateful & let synchronicity show you the way

BY STAN KONTOS

Have you ever wanted something (a new house to make your home, a car, an investment property, a friendship, a cause to become a part of) but not sure if it is the right thing to do? I certainly have been in this situation many times. In times when you really want something, but are not sure if it is the right thing, you’ve got to go deep within you, (your heart, or, commonly known as a gut feel) as there are the answers as to whether something is right for you or not.

My discovery over time is that if it is meant to be, it will be. Of course, you need to put in the effort (take action), however, things always “flow” when they are meant to be. When you have to continually go against the grain, and at the same time, do not have  a good feel about a desired goal, then generally it is not meant to be and it is best to walk away as its time has not come. But when you really desire something and have a good heart or gut feel about it, and it keeps coming back to you or flows nicely toward you, then generally it is meant to be.

I want to encourage you to firstly set goals that inspire you. Don’t set goals just to keep up with others or to showcase how good you are. Rather, set goals that have come from within. When the time is right, they will flow toward you and it is at this time that you should “Step Up” and take action toward claiming them.

There is a wisdom that says “Faith without action is dead”. Hence, “faith requires action” to be manifested into reality.

So, next time you notice a desired goal come into your life, look for signs of “synchronicity”. That is, it begins to flow toward you and that with your own action, it keeps coming back or keeps getting closer and closer. Let synchronicity be your guide that it is meant to be.

We often hear stories of people who meet and marry and they both say “It was meant to be. We just clicked and felt we were meant for one another”, such a relationship is a classic case of synchronicity. So it is also your relationship with other goals in your life – your dream home, your dream car, and any other thing that your soul desires to experience in this life journey.

Begin today being more open minded and on the lookout for when goals are coming toward you – be prepared to claim them – step up and take affirmative action. This is how dreams turn into reality.

There are universal laws that apply to the journey of life and synchronicity is one of them. Let the Law of Synchronicity bring more good into your life. Stay in a state of gratitude at all times (I was once told be grateful for the little things in life, and the big things will take care of themselves) and you will attract more good. Good things always get attracted to good thinkers – those that live in a state of gratitude.

I wish you all many blessings, claim them when you see them coming toward you.

If you are in Adelaide, come along to Breakfast at the Next Level www.solresults.com/nextlevelbreakfasts/ and hear from other successful people and notice how grateful they are for everything in their life. And as you listen to them being interviewed, notice how their life’s success was a series of synchronicities.

46 – Getting into the flow using thought power

BY STAN KONTOS

Have you ever wondered why sometimes things keep going wrong (I am sure you have heard “They come in three’s”), and how is it sometimes everything seems to go right for us? I believe a lot of events in life are co-created by us and by our thoughts (you can learn more about this by reading As A Man Thinketh by James Allen – if you want a copy please send me an email). In simplicity, when we have had a period of productive empowering positive thinking, we inevitably create a flow of good things coming our way, hence the term “In the Flow” and similarly, if we have indulged in negativity, we inevitably begin to attract unsavoury things into our life. This has been my experience in life (and business) and with the observation of my many coaching clients.

Hence, it becomes paramount that if we want to significantly reduce the number of negative events (being human, we will always have internal battles with negative and positive thoughts, we just need to be on the right side of the equation) and hence have a life that is more “in the flow” then it makes good sense for us to become masterful with our thoughts, strategic with our environment (hang around positive, loving, caring, inspiring people), and focussed on what we want in life (rather than focus on what we don’t want).

Creating a life of flow is both a science, taking control of your thoughts and only allowing positivity to enter your mind, and an art, being forgiving of yourself when you fail, for we are only human, being forgiving of others limitations, realising there are no absolutes in life, and it is all a journey. Human beings are all created equal and all have the capacity to use their mind as a blessing or as a curse – the choice is always with us. One of the key reasons why people who attend our Breakfast at the Next Level, or The Next Level Retreat, or are clients of the Platinum (Coaching) Program succeed, is because they realise the power of their mind and its application. We have all been given this God given gift called “the mind” and it is up to us how much of it we use for our good and for the good of others.

The first step is to become aware of every thought that comes through your mind (most of us receive 60,000 thoughts per day… incredible when you think about it!) and to learn how to engage with thoughts that will lead us to a better life. This requires us to know when to quickly disengage with thoughts that are deceptive, negative and disrupting to our attainment of a life of abundance. This is why the wisdom I am sure we have all heard at some stage “For things to change, I must change” is so true – for our lives to change, we have to change from the inside to then begin to see the changes on the outside. This wisdom has been with us for thousands of years.

Because of this wisdom and the way life works, I am an advocate of each of us working harder on ourselves than we do in our jobs. Working in your job (or your business) will provide you with a living… Working on yourself will afford you with a fortune! I encourage you everyday to invest time in optimising your thinking, becoming more self aware, spending time on reflection on how you can improve your thinking skills, and creating thoughts that you affirm to yourself (affirmations) that will lead you to the life you desire and deserve… a life more abundant.

45 – Personal growth comes from living outside the comfort zone

BY STAN KONTOS

It is a natural human inclination to stay within our comfort zone. You know what I mean – keep doing the same thing, hang around the same people, play the same sports, read the same kind of material, and think about goals that are achievable. I too fall into this way of thinking and living, as being uncomfortable is not something we generally like. However, having said that, it is when we are uncomfortable that we grow personally and spiritually. If we reflect on our lives, we rarely learn anything when in our comfort zone and hence our greatest learnings have come when we were very uncomfortable (handling a major issue, dealing with a set back, facing a fear).

It is time we began to look forward to being uncomfortable some of the time. When we are uncomfortable, and we put fear aside, we begin to think creatively, search for solutions, ask more questions, pray more, and develop a “do whatever it takes” mindset to get the outcome we want, need or desire.

Whilst I am not advocating putting yourself under stress, I am advocating that you do need to get the adrenaline going from time to time with a task or goal that brings the best out of you. When was the last time you faced a fear?

  • The fear of public speaking
  • The fear of making the effort to meet someone outside your normal circle and develop a friendship
  • The fear of acquiring another investment (with good advice of course)
  • The fear of employing another person in good faith in order to expand your business
  • The fear of getting married
  • The fear of having another child
  • And so the list goes on and on

A great wisdom I like to bring to my consciousness is “Face the Fear and Win!” Yes, when you don’t know what to do, you know what to do. Nothing like facing a fear and getting through it!

Today, write down 10 things that would make you nervous (uncertain) and pick one that you believe with a little help from your coach or mentor (you can contact us here at SOL Results as we’d be happy to assist), you might just be able to achieve it. Yes, you know it will take getting through nervousness and uncertainty but you also know that at the end of it, you will be a better person. And hence once you have achieved it, it will lift your confidence and self esteem knowing that you conquered your own self imposed limitation.

Many of our guests at Breakfast at The Next Level had to face their fears and limitations and their success came when they grew past them. You too can be a greater version of you – a much more successful person and all it takes is the decision to step out of your comfort zone and into the faith zone. It is in the faith zone that all the miracles happen!  Go for it – become a miracle for all to see.

44 – The importance of being forgiving

BY STAN KONTOS

We have all been “hurt” by others in our lives with what they say, or what they do (or don’t do), or how they talk about us.  We cannot control how other people think or what they do. But we can control how we respond or react to their behaviour. This is leadership at its finest level – the ability to manage one’s thoughts, emotions and behaviours to create inner inspiration regardless of the circumstances outside us.

Forgiveness can be one of the most difficult things to do. It is not until we realise that forgiving is not about allowing or accepting another person’s behaviour to suddenly become OK – it is more about how we can “let go” of a troublesome thought and emotion. You see when we forgive someone, what we are effectively doing is “letting go of the personal block” that was holding us back from moving forward. Lack of forgiveness can result in anxiety, lost sleep, fear, anger, hurt and all sorts of negative emotions. And if we are to become positive people inspiring others around us, we need to learn the science and art of forgiveness.  I say it is a science because we have to speak forgiveness into the situation (even though we may not feel it) and also an art because we have to do our utmost to release the emotions (sometimes crying is a good thing and helpful to release it). When we put the intention out that we want to be free from such baggage and release this block by forgiving, we experience internal freedom and inner peace.

Now the other person may not change and they may think they have done nothing wrong to you or they may not have apologised – this is irrelevant. What is relevant is we have released it and become free so we can think creatively and enjoy life.

When we forgive we enhance our connection with the creative force of the universe (God) and we feel good and then begin to see more good things come into our lives. We are connected once again!

Go forward today and think about the people you need to forgive and put in the effort to forgive them, cleansing your inner world from this darkness and being free once again as you deserve to be.

Live with passion, always stay on your life purpose, and stay at peace.

43 – When it comes to wealth creation – What gets measured gets managed

BY STAN KONTOS

I’ve never met anyone in Western society that genuinely didn’t want extra income or wealth. Most people are aware that extra income or wealth usually results in having the capacity to acquire more of life’s comforts (that dream house or hot car), or to travel more, or to help others (family, friends, charity), or for some extra security (put it away for a rainy day).

I have the privilege to coach and mentor many career and business people and it surprises me how very few ever measure their income or wealth position regularly. From personal experience (which means from the experience of failure and from the experience of success) it is only when we truly measure how we are going in generating more income or creating further wealth that we realise how much power we truly have to create a more abundant life. When we measure things, this is when we are truly managing it.

So what do I mean by measure? Well, what I encourage my clients to do every quarter (July, October, January and April) is review the value of their real estate holdings, the value of their share market and managed fund investment portfolio, the value of their personal assets (home, cars, other) and the incremental increases in their income (both from their career and from their rental income or dividends).

The wonderful “Law Of Compounding” (one of the wonders of the world) comes into play as time goes by – we get to see this remarkable law at play when we measure our income and wealth positions. When we look at the growth in our income and wealth and at the same time monitor our home budgets (yes, it is important to have a review of all your home expenses documented in detail once a month), we get a thorough understanding in what we need to do more of, or less of, to create the abundant life we desire and deserve.

Wealthy people rarely become so by chance, they become so because they focus and put energy into this very important area of life. For those of you that are on this pathway of creating a more abundant life for yourself and for others (remember, in the spiritual sense, we are meant to provide for our children’s children if we are faithful custodians of the money we earn and multiply intelligently) well done in adopting these principles and seeing their wonders as the years go by! For those of you that may be struggling with your finances, take heart, for there is a proven methodology that will bring income growth and wealth into your lives (if you seek, you will find).
